How do I find a vintage Accutron SpaceView Watch?

It's my eldest boy's grail watch. I can find a bunch on eBay and such, but are they trustworthy?

Even Amazon is full of "vendors" that are less than trustworthy... trust me.

If you were searching for this watch, and you were a knowledgeable consumer, where would you look online to purchase one of these? I want a good timepiece, not a "works good as far as I can tell" yard sale post.

I'm not a watch guy, so any guidance I can get would be much appreciated.

Ive been a member of watch fora for years and joining one is a good option.

Watchuseek is a good bet.

Ive bought from chrono24 and it went smoothly.

Be careful. There are many Spaceviews that weren't originally Spaceviews. It's quite easy to cobble together a Spaceview. There are many who sell Spaceviews fully aware they aren't selling originals and others mistakenly selling nonoriginals as originals. My best advice is the same as I'd give re gemstones. Either know your jewels or know your jeweler.

Here's mine. Good hunting!
