We have a collection of about 100 or so Scrade Knives, from the old Ellenville,New York plant.

Some are Old Timers, others are LB7's. Some of the only say Scrade
so we are not sure what they are.
Some are with designs, or a manufactor's name. How or where can we learn more about their value?

Any information would be very helpful.
Thank you.

Per knife:
Best) A clear picture showing the condition of the knife and the exact tang stamp. Complete packaging and accompanying paperwork makes a difference too.

Next Best) A description stating the above

People here will be glad to offer their 2 cents worth. Ebay is probably a barometer many use, and there are quite a few people who monitor prices for the patterns they are familiar with. Prices fluxuate from month to month and even auction to auction.

Quite a few people come to the forum with value being the 1st question. It is not what is discussed the most on the Schrade forum, but it is discussed. To my knowledge there is not a publication stating value. It is too subjective.

If you have Schrade knives that just say only SCHRADE on the tang and nothing else, that sounds Chinese to me.

Truthfully, ebay is the best barometer of value, as thawk already said. It does fluctuate, but find your patterns with the help of Larry's site, and then do searches on completed auctions.

100 knives is too many to come here to find value on. But where people here can help are with any obscure patterns, SFO's, commemoratives, etc.

If you can't identify something, do post a pic of it here, and someone will be along to help.

Good luck.

Glenn
