How do I finish these redheart scales I just made?

Hi, really sorry for just jumping in and asking before diving deep into the search results, but I'm too excited about this project and want to go get the things I need ASAP
I just made some scales out of redheart and I'd like to know what I need to do to it to make it work. Can someone give me the short, lazy man's answer?

I don't even know the terms... treat? Finish? Seal? Stabilize? I do know that I need this to wood to be durable, waterproof, still grippy, and I'd like to use a UV inhibitor to keep it looking that nice red.

Any suggestions? Again, sorry not to make short work of this craft. I respect your knowledge and experience... but I'm just so excited to get these scales done and on my ESEE6!

sand to 600 grit, and seal with teak oil.
short enough. :D
See.

Thanks, Ben :D any recommended brand? I checked out Watco, Messmer's Caribbean Extreme (which seems to have a ton of UV protection touted as a feature), and Meguiar (which seems to have no UV protection feature advertised).

I must say that wood on your knife looks awesome. That's pretty much what I'm looking for!

I use Watco Teak Oil on all my wood handles, just follow the instructions on the back of the can!
