How do I get loose a seized pivot?

I disassembled a Boker Exskelibur 1 in order to nano-ceramic-coat the scales, but the female part of the pivot is seized tight in the frame. My heat gun isn't working (so far, anyway), and neither is applying force on the inside of the pivot using a small driver. It appears I am not the first one to disassemble this knife, since I see a clear, deep mark on the inside of the frame. The heat should have broken the Loctite if that was the issue. It occurs to me that if the guy before me Super Glued it for some stupid reason, I'll probably have to soak it in acetone. Then again, I'm just spit-balling here, since I really don't know why the pivot is stuck. Any ideas on how to free it?

I was able to get it loose, but not without completely destroying the pivot. No idea why it was stuck in there like that. Luckily, I had a spare pivot from a sacrificial Boker Exskelibur 1 that I had done a lot of finishing experiments on and is now just used for parts.

Were you able to determine what if anything was on the pivot? Glad you got it out and had a spare pivot.

Thanks. I had to squeeze and deform the pivot with plyers in order to get it out. I still don't know why it wouldn't come out to start with. Perhaps the tolerances were off and it was just too large for the pivot hole so that once they got it in, it would never come back out without destruction.
