It's hard to tell which scratch you're talking about in that picture. Some people use Flitz, sometimes a scotchbrite pad might work but in this picture it's hard to tell what you're up against. It all depends on the blade finish, the HRC, extent of the scratch, etc. Or you can just ignore it and use the knife until it's all scratced up - sort of like the stainless steel sink effect. Eventually they look semi-stonewased after thousands of scratches . . .

Why not leave it alone? The only way to remove that is to polish it with paper or compounds and make your knife a little bit smaller.

Why not just keep using the knife and attribute that scratch to normal wear & tear. It is just a knife after all. The world won't come to an end nor will you be hated or shunned because you have a scratch on a tool.

I use 'Flitz' ... but in all seriousness, that isn't even a noticeable scratch (if you're talking about the one I'm seeing).

If you're going to use knives, you just have to accept this sort of thing.

In the pic its not too noticeable but its REALLY hard to miss in life. And the only reason I'm asking is because it took me a while to save up for it and I just got it a few days ago...

Just hide it amongst other scratches... use the bajeebus out of your knife

Using it is the best answer. But if you want to get rid of it, a Dremel and felt wheel, along with some Flitz or Mother's Mag Wheel polish will do the trick. But seriously, that knife is much happier if you use it and give it some character. A Q-tip and Flitz or Mother's will also do the trick, if you have 19 hours to spare.

Give it some friends. Let that scratch invite some more over for a party...soon there will be so many, that scratch will loose its identity all together. (and your knife will truly look loved)

Seriously, the first scratch is often the hardest to take. I ordered my last custom with a scratch pre-installed so I could not be a pansy and go straight to enjoying it;)

Refinish the entire surface with Scoth-Brite or, if you need to be a little more aggressive, emory cloth. Use long, longitudinal strokes on a firm surface for best results.

I embedded the easy-to-follow directions for repairing your knife in this photo...

from what i can see it is only going to come out when you refinish the whole blade and a belt sander would work the best unless you want to do it by hand. i can put a satin finish on it which might get the scratch out if it is not too deep.

I do remember that the last guy I stabed complained because my knife had a scratch in it.

Ain't that ALWAYS the way?!
You go outta your way to stab a guy with your finest cutlery and all he can do is complain about little things.! Some people really are just ungrateful!
