Hi! I'm new on here and hoping someone can help. I am bidding on a Buck alpha Dorado BOSCPM154(coated). I have owned the Alpha Hunter BOS. The pics on ebay look like the the markings are just painted on and dont see any kinda stamping. Am I gonna get ripped off if i buy this knife?

how do i know if the knife i want is legit and not a fake?

I took a look at my alpha to make sure before I answer your question. The markings on an alpha dorado are hot stamped so the will be slightly blackened. But they are the same as all markings on bucks. Also the Paul Bos logo is right underneath of the steel marking. Honestley the only way to be sure is to only buy from guys with top notch ratings. There is no way to be sure but doing that certainley helps

Looks fine to me, and a feedback score of 100% out of 1358 is a pretty good voucher for authenticity.
