How do I link to another thread?

I posted a response to a query in the tinkering & imbelishment forum, and was asked to link to a thread I quoted from, from Oct. 5th, titled 'Bk7'.

I linked to it (I thought) but after posting it didn't work. I've searched here in tech support, but couldn't find an answer to what I did wrong.

Can one of our friendly, patient mods help me on out?

Look up at the top of your page and you'll see a URL for the webpage you are currently on.

Go to the page you want to link to, and copy that URL, come back to your current page and paste the URL in your post about the thread. I usually open another window to call up the page to link to.

Also, you can link to a specific post -- go to the post and look at the upper right where you'll see a #. Mouse onto that post number, copy, and bring it back and paste it.
