Does anyone have any tips on how to smooth the openinig and closing action of a Carnivore?

By the way, the handle feels great! Fits my hand like a glove.

Yo, JailHack! I just got a Carnivore Cub, and I've got the same question! Can you kick that answer my way too?

When I have a stiff action or gritty, I put a LITTLE valve lapping compound (diamond)at the contact points and then work the action back and forth until it smoothes out then I flush the compound out with WD-40 and then lubricate with my favorite lubricant. This also works to keep simular materials from gauling like stainless to stainless or monel to monel.

hope this helps.

Yo Jailhack,

Would you mind kicking some of that info this way too.

Sure would appreciate the help. Mine is nice but still a bit gritty.

TIA,

Roy

Please send it to me also. I don't, technically, have a REKAT yet, but I usually like to get into the workings of my knives to see what's what, and how to effect repairs if necessary. So any tips on improving things is always greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Tom
