how do i post a picture on the forums?

The easy way to learn is to go to a post with a picture in it, and click on that persons "edit/delete" button. You can't edit or delete their post, but it will show you what they did to install the picture.
It should look something like this:


which will install your picture. As such:
rezinpair.jpg

The most effective way to post a picture here is as follows. Go to photopoint.com and get an account for $9.95/year. It used to be free but now they charge. People griped and tried to find another service to do this but I don't know of any as reliable as photopoint. You will need a scanner. Scan your picture (I just put my knife on the scanner). Save it as a JPEG file. E-mail the file by attachment to photopoint. Photopoint will get your picture and put it into your account. You will receive e-mail notification from photopoint when your pictures have been processed. Go to your photopoint account and it will tell you that you have new pictures. Move the picture to an album. I created one called knives where I keep my knife pictures. Go to the album and select the picture. Select edit to give the information that you will need to post the picture. I am going to post a picture of one of my favorite knives. Hit the edit part of this post to see the way it is phrased. Basically it will be like this:

Put your picture on PHOTOPOINT or another place similar so that you can get it a URL, and then posting the URL here in the following format:
