Posting pictures can be easy or hard, depending on your skill level on the computer.

To post pictures you need to create an account with a PHOTO HOSTING WEBSITE, like PHOTOBUCKET:

http://photobucket.com/

After you create an account and upload your camera files (JPG files) to your account on the Photobucket website, you can copy and paste the Image Codes (Photobocket requires you to just click on them to copy) and then PASTE into the post, right where your cursor is.

HTTP stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol, a network protocol, is the start of every web address, sometimes called a URL. It is not really important to accomplish the task.

But, each photo you upload to a photo hosting site will have its own web address or URL (same thing). Each address (for each picture) in the forum post must have
behind it.

Photobucket will put the IMG codes around your URL (web address) automatically.

This is real easy, but some will struggle with it depending on their familiar with computers. Good luck with your pitchers and your HTTP's, because posting pictures makes the forum a lot of fun.

If you post on AAPK, it should be the same as over there.

It looks like you loaded the pictures directly from your computer over on AAPK. On BladeForum you can do that if you are a member, but it really works better on either site to post them to a program like Photobucket and link to them. This takes the burden off of either of the forum sites to store the picture files.

Thanks Thawk..your post helped me out also. I was dreading getting into this today but thanks to your simple outline it will be a breeze.
thanks:thumbup:

Good evening,

Here's a SC507 I took pics of about a week ago for a different thread [then did not post!]. One of my goals for 2011 was to actually post pics here - I have enjoyed this forum for years but rarely post - so here goes ...

http://s1085.photobucket.com/albums/j427/wveah/?action=view&current=staglb7.jpg

http://s1085.photobucket.com/albums/j427/wveah/?action=view&current=staglb7pouch.jpg

http://s1085.photobucket.com/albums/j427/wveah/?action=view&current=staglb7closed.jpg

http://s1085.photobucket.com/albums/j427/wveah/?action=view&current=staglb7blade.jpg

If the above worked = thank you thawk for the clear and concise directions!

If the above didn't work = thank you thawk for the clear and concise directions! and sorry I was not competent to follow same.

Regards.

You need to enclose the URLs within "image delimiters". The delimiters inform the forum software that the URL is an image to be posted in thread. The general syntax is
.

You are so close! When you are copying from photobucket make sure to copy the "IMG code" NOT the other ones. Just copy and paste the link. It just needs the "
at the end of the link (as Hal indicated) to display photo. Hope this helps.

Great knife!

Gentlemen,

Many thanks for the information. This is my attempt to test it out - here is an LB7 which I don't think pops up too often:

Hope that was better. Thank you again.

Nice Choice for a 1st Post!!
It's a handsome and respectful tribute to many Americans that we still miss today.
