How do I post photos ??

Hi all- I posted this in the Gallery section but there is much more traffic here, so here goes: What do I need to post pictures on this site ? I only have a laptop computer and no other equipment. Also, what exactly is "Photopoint" ? I see alot of people using them, just what do they do ?

Go to www.photopoint.com and see what it is all about.

Most film processing places will put your pics up on the web for a small additional fee, or give you a CD with the photos digitized for you. Or you can use a scanner or a digital camera to take pics of knives.

Then you need a web photo hosting site.Photopoint is just one of several Free photo servers. You can upload digital photos to this site. At photopoint, you can organize your photographs in folders for different subjects.

Once you have a photograph somewhere on a web server, you use IMG code to make the photograph appear in your post. Example:

If the web address I typed was real, and linked to a photograph on the web, it would be retrieved and displayed in your post.

The other thing to do is simply post a link to the photograph address. Like this:

whateveraddressyouwant

The smilies aren't hard either, when you are posting or replying to a message, to the left of the message box it says "Smilies Legend" just click on that to see what to type and what comes up, or you can click on this link to see the smilies.
