How do I post pictures of some of my knives on this site?

Hi- and welcome!

Well, to post pictures here, you first need to have a place out there on the web to keep them. A lot of us here use www.photopoint.com to keep pictures used for posting. Photopoint is free, and relatively simple to use. You just take the photos from your computer and e-mail them to Photopoint. They will automatically be loaded to your album files that you will have set up.

Now, each one of those photos and albums will have a unique URL, or web address. From there, you can post just the address like so by simply copying and pasting;

http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1498606&a=11336594&p=39893507

Now, when you type that in the post, you'll just see it as plain text. However, because this board supports UBB Code and HTML, the "http:" part is recognized and will make it clickable for readers, and will direct them to the photopoint site where your picture is hosted.

You can also use the "

" . For example http://mypicturegoeshere.net[/IMG

What you end up with is this

[img]http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1498606&a=11336594&p=39893507

No, you can't use the code everywhere- the UBB code is something I've only seen in this forum. For places like Ebay you have to use the whole URL for whereever you post it. Check with the instructions at whichever place you are looking to post- most just use regular HTML code(ex.: [url="http://photopoint.com/yourimage.jpg)."]http://photopoint.com/yourimage.jpg).[/url]
