How do I post pictures?

Previously, I had posted pictures using links to my photobucket.com account but now, it seems, that doesn't work.
I tried it at first with the original files, which I thought were too big after some deliberation. Then I went and compressed them to a decent size and they still do not show up in my post.
Am I doing something wrong? I tried using tumblr as well and that didn't work either. I also tried to find a thread that may explain this but couldn't find one readily.
 
You aren't doing anything wrong but your computer may be. Lets see if someone more familiar with the intricacies can help.

Meanwhile, the all-purpose reply: clear your cookies, they may be corrupted.

I don't think you have to compress them?

Bladeforums will do that automatic when you post them.

Maybe that's the problem?
 
I'm experiencing the same problem - I've never tried to post images to bladeforums before, and have been trying to do so from Photobucket but can't seem to get my links to show anything... I had seen other people post something saying that they had needed to resize their images, so tried that as well, but that didn't work for me either.

Here's an example of what I was trying to upload - if you guys can see it, please let me know:
Pocket_Bolo_v2_cropped.jpg.html


Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated; thank you very much!
 
When you download a picture to Photobucket, you get 4 URLs. Use the fourth, the bottom one, with tags.

The one you tried to show comes out [URL=http://s949.photobucket.com/user/Niemba/media/Pocket%20bolo/Pocket_Bolo_v2_cropped.jpg.html][IMG]http://i949.photobucket.com/albums/ad331/Niemba/Pocket%20bolo/Pocket_Bolo_v2_cropped.jpg[/URL]

I've never seen anything like this URL. :confused: What did you download to them?

Ahhh... I'm an idiot. :) I'm new to Photobucket as well - I didn't realize that I should use the "share" button, and just used the url for the page I was on... Thanks so much for the help!
 
Thanks! It's my first design (or at least the first that I've shown anyone), and is my submission for JK's anniversary knife contest :)
