i have an insingo and want to prevent this from happening to the tip, by "this" i am refering to rounding the tip. i want it to stay a modified wharncliff .... if im this paranoid should i just sell and buy a normal sebenza? regular medium edc usage.

Let me know!

I don't even know what you are referring to. What about the tip? Getting it rounded?

no im not trying to generate anything..... if you scroll down the tip looks so much more rounded off. i just wanna know if anyone else with an insingo has that problem of if yours keep the point even after extensive use and sharpening.....

The biggest question is to ask with what are you sharpening and what is your technique?

Here is mine, tip is still perfect and sharpen by hand on a benchstone

I don't think that tip would get like under normal sharpening systems, i think that person probably did that on purpose, i wouldn't worry about having an issue turning your tip into that.

thanks. those pictures are very re-assuring. sorry if it sounded stupid-_-...and i sharpen with a sharp maker.

by the way love seeing the insingo all used with dirt on it

If you are using the sharpmaker stop while the tip is still on the stone and that will help.

I agree that the tip looks fine -- looks like a "trick" of the camera to me.

There are a couple of pics where it really does look a lot like a spear point blade but as mentioned I feel that is down to a trick of the camera or was perhaps done by the owner on purpose, or even a bit of both. It would be hard to take that much steel off by accident with out using a belt grinder and even then it's unlikely so wouldn't worry about doing that just by sharpening the knife.
