How do I put thumbnails in posts?

Hello all,

So I am wondering how to put thumbnails in my posts rather than full size photos. I mostly just link to photos from my blog when I post photos, but those photos tend to be rather large. I feel like it would be nicer for people scrolling through threads to not have to navigate past my giant photos as they go, especially when there are multiple photos.

Do you have to be a paid member to have thumbnails?

If you use an external picture hosting site it should have an option for thumbnails.

To upload directly you would need a Basic level membership or higher.

I haven't been using a picture hosting site, just my general blog. I sometimes write about knives on it, so my knife pictures are there online. When I link to those photos they tend to show up quite large in the message.

You aren't alone, I've seen that before as well. I'd give it a go with an image hosting site to start with. You have resizing options available that make the pictures reasonably sized as well as increase load times.
