How do I re-size my pictures so I can post them?

Most of my pictures are way too large to upload. How do I re-size them so they can be posted?

Mine get resized automatically when I upload them...to Photobucket. There used to be a free Powertoy for Windows that resized pictures, although I haven't used that one in a few years. Most photo editing software can handle it as well, I use ACDsee which does it quite well.

I use ms paint. you can resize them using that program. I do it all of the time.
