How do I stop the email notifications ?

I’ve been through the options and I cannot for the life of me find where I can still get notifications on the site- but not receive emails.

Did you look under your profile page contact details ?

First under "Contact Details"
-In the "Messaging Preferences"

Receive email when a new conversation message is received

Email notifications for new conversations, replies to existing conversations, and being added to an existing conversation.

Then under "Preferences"
-In the "Options" section

• Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...
  • and receive email notifications of replies
• Automatically watch media that you add or when you comment...
  • and receive email notifications
• Automatically watch categories that you add media to...
  • and receive email notifications

When it switches off emails, does it keep the forum alerts ?

In the 2nd part I quote from the Preferences - Options there is a check box for the first line and a 2nd check box for the line about the email notifications. I have my email notices off for them and the forum alerts seem to work fine for me.

Yeah I don't get any emails for anything, but still get alerts on the site

Ok I’ve had the things done on the second part of your explanation:

But- I did not have the first part done, under “contact details”.

FYI- this did not work.
My inbox gets slammed daily.. wish I could turn email notifications off

Have you tried enabling the parts you already had unchecked saving that logging out then logging back in and disabling/unchecking those?
