Hey guys, i keep seeing all these nice Busse knives stripped of there coating and i'm interested in trying it on my Tank Buster. Can some one tell me what i need and how to do it, Thanks :)

I would assume youll need some $1 bills foled lengthwise to get it to strip

That's one way ;)

The other is to get gel paint stripper, like EZ strip, and cake it one there and let site for about 3-7 minutes, then use sand paper to polish or keep the decarb finish on it, your choice

Good luck

What he said, however most coated knives won't have any decarb left on them. The couple I've stripped, and all I've seen stripped looked almost as good as the satin models sold by Busse. YMMV on older models, but with a Tank Buster you shouldn't have to worry about decarb at all.......

I have stripped a few, and had no issues with decarb. Just a nice mat grey finish underneath. Some infi dimples on the flats occasionally, but nothing I did not like!

AFAIK, even registered members have search capability now. There are lots of thread on the subject. Search for strip, stripping, naked, nekkid.
