Like knifenut1013 did.
I've got a 100x radioshashack $7 cheapie, and would like to upgrade to a "real" microscope.
Any suggestions? How would it be compatable with a common digital camera?

So has anyone seen an "adapter", or other method, to attach a separate camera to a microscope's eyepiece? So then I wont be paying for a 'scopes "internal" camera.

At the above store I found "adapters", but they all costed around $500!
I guess I'll have to do some googling (after some sleep). Please chime in if you have any experience on this stuff.

Meanwhile, here's some micro-knife pr0n:

Neat huh? Too bad the dude seems like a douchebag. Hey, Bill DeShivs, did I spell douche right?;)

I wish I could get pictures like that.

The pics posted above are from an SEM - you'll need a couple extra rooms in the house and a couple grocery bags stuffed full of $100 bills to take those pics! No pic taken with an optical camera will even come close to the depth of field in those.

oh you want pics like those? out of the average persons price range. EDIT: the ones with AB CD on it might be doable, cause they are only 200x but optics get misleading because they are not all the same quality picture, as most of us know from camera experiences, so to just provide the magnificaition doesn't mean everything.

What would this tell you that other time honored methods wouldn't
