How do I tell if this is a real British Comando Knife?

Originally, I believed this to be a fake British Comando knife - I thought it would be hard to get a hold of one. My brother (former USN) tells me he got it from a British solider while stationed in Rota Spain during the 1980's. Now the hilt has a stamp on it "sheffield, england" and that's all the identifying marks available. Does anyone have any links to an original or a source for me to compare it too? Any places to look to see if it's real or immatation?

TIA.

You would probably have a lot more luck getting an answer if you posted this thread on the Bernard Levine Knife Collecting and Identification Forum, which is on the General forum (as is this, the Blade Discussion forum).

Good luck, Walt

You forgot to post your link in your new thread in Bernard's forum. I'll move this thread there for you.
