I was using my CS machete (man do they come dull) and i decided to see how they would do in a test so i took a jug and i left it out for a while and the first swing i think i did off and bent it i have tried bending it back in the right direction but it hasn't done anything really. Also sorry if this isn't the right place for thins joined today.

Bend it further in the opposite direction of the bend. It will spring back some, so you'll have to over-bend it until you get it just right.

A properly heat treated machete should not bend and take a set. I have a 27" bladed machete I have chopped trees and split logs with, often bending it a lot. . . and it always springs back to true.

Sad to say, the CS machete line is actually rather cheaply made; do what the others have said about bending at your own risk since it's probably the only way to get it back to where it was, but there's no guarantee on if the steel will be good enough to snap.

Just to be clear, are you saying you tried to chop a frozen gallon jug of water and bent your machete or did you just bend it hitting an empty jug? Or something else?

Reading your post gave me a damn Headache..
There fore you get no answer ...

By the way.. What is the model.. Can you show a pic.. Is the steel just a soft stainless or a carbon steel?

Lay the blade on a flat surface so you can identify the center of the bend and roughly how long a stretch of blade is bent. Lay a couple short stacks of books on the floor spaced as far apart as the length of your bend. Lay the blade across the two stacks (center of the bend up) and apply some weight to the bend with your foot. Release and see if you've done enough. If not, try again only harder. If you want to get clever you could start with only two books and let the floor set the limit to how much you bend the blade. Then you could increase the height of your stacks to increase your bending.

Unless your machete is stainless steel I don't think that you are likely to break the blade. Your real risk is that it will start to get bent in strange ways due to incorrect rebending.

You won't snap it, but tearing is possible with a good bend. The safest option may be to use a vice and three pieces of pipe (half round stock would be better).
