I have a folding knife by pholforce made of d2 steel with a black coating on it, any way I can remove the coating?
 
Depends what kind of coating it is. If it's a paint or powder coat type material, any quality paint stripper will do. If it's DLC or similar coating, probably only sanding or bead blasting will take it off.

PS, this should probably be in the tinkering/maintenance subforum
 
Pretty sure those are made by LionSteel and they are DLC, which means it's going to be an absolute pain to get off completely.
 
Thanks Lost-Cosmonaut, I shall keep it black, and silvanus, seeing that this is general blade discussion this sorta does fall under that, no need to be such a know it all and stickler for the rules bud..
