How do they name a Spyderco?

How does spyderco come up with the names they use for there knives?

My latest Spyderco is the Meerkat so I was doing a little resurch on the name and found this.

What does this animal have to do with the Spyderco Meerkat?

I would not won't to speculate on their general naming process. But concerning the Meerkat I noticed the resemblance between the knife and the animal from the first time I saw the knife in person. I know that may sound crazy and I may be WAY off base but I swear they look alike. Just go back to the link that you provided and look at the profile of the two Meerkats and then hold a Meerkat in front of you with the blade at a 90% angle and see if they don't resemble one another. Like I said I may be crazy but that's what I see.
