can anyone tell me how you become an "official" beckerhead?

You have to have a certain number of posts, that's the easy part.
You have to own a Becker knife, that is harder these days because they are in so much demand and hard to find.
Even harder you have to scan through the last 2, 10 or however many pages in that thread to find out if they are currently accepting new members. I've been reading this forum for a long time and the times that I've tried to join they have suspended accepting new members. If they are accepting new members then post your request and wait.

well, owning beckers is the easy part...i currently have a bk2, a pair of bk3's, and a bk4....and fixin' to buy a bk5.
