I would love to see some pictures of your 16s, not just in the sheath, but on your belt, pack, etc.. However you carry it. I'm leaning towards kydex for mine but I'd love to see what everybody uses.

Here he is all nice and shiny right out of the box with some micarta. Hopefully we can get in a good workout at deer camp this weekend.

I carry mine 2 diffrent ways...on my 3 day pack using the factory sheath and molle webbing...then edc in a kydex sheath with the esee 3 belt clip IWB cross draw in front

Mine usually goes here (older pic, compliments of azwelke):

But I also have the factory sheath if I want to attach to MOLLE webbing and a kydex sheath I made myself for pocket/murse carry:

I don't usually belt carry any of my knives. Working with a tool belt a lot of days turns me off to wearing on in my off hours. If'n it don't fit in a pocket, I generally don't have it attached to me.

You stuck it in a Coastal Redwood? :upset:
Mmmm, our little transplants are suffering in the swelter this year. I don't believe they like to be doused with the water hose either, it has an adverse effect on them. :dejection:

I haven't got the 16, just the 15 & 17. :p

It's a bald cypress, in my back yard, I assure you I didn't hurt it. They're everywhere in the Mississippi Delta.

Love my 15. Looking forward to getting to know this 16.

Granite, that patina looks great!

Dang, they do look a lot alike. The little green balls, fruit maybe, are the give away for the cypress.

He got them from 710. 710, aka JD or Julio Diaz, makes kydex sheaths and his own resin scales. Plus JD is a really great guy. I haven't heard a single negative thing said about him since he first started posting here - 2 yrs?

I don't have a 16 yet, but I have a 17, and I carry it in its factory sheath. I like the pocket that's just the right size for my Leatherman Rebar.

Johnny1280, I just ordered an OD green pancake style sheath with a brown leather dangler from JD thanks to your picture. Can't wait to see the finished product, yours looks great!

I made a small, quick one stick fire just to test drive the 16 and I was thoroughly impressed. Well done Mr. Becker!

You are correct Sir!!
And the pics just don't do justice to the scales. The mixtures of colors create a "3D" effect and seem to move when the light hits them. Truly amazing!
