I have been eyeing a case large stockman in either amber bone or the "rancher" scales. I am wondering how most people carry theirs? Also if you have one please share a picture and perhaps a little tid bit of why you like/dislike it.

No doubt ARM will be along to post many pics of his beautiful 6375, that he carries in his Carhartt pocket, if I remember correctly. A fantastic looking knife.

I have one of my own, that I carry in my RFP with my license an debit card.

No photobucket account for pictures yet, but my blades are quite a bit more patinaed(?) than his are, but I forced mine, and he didn't. Someday, I will post pics.

Mine is Amber Bone and CV also.

My yellow large Stockman does not get carried a lot, because its pretty big. But that's the same reason that other guys do carry it. Mine just rides in the bottom of my pocket with keys, change, mini Sharpie, Fisher space pen and everything else.

I don't have the Case, but I have many other stockmen in the 4.0 to 4.4" closed lengths, and I just put 'em in my pocket and go.

Don't have a Case but my GEC 81 rides in my back pocket beside my wallet.

What Brett said:thumbup: only difference is I don't have an #81 but my CASE #6375 rides backpocket beside my wallet;)

Long day, just got home here... :)

My 6375 just drops down into my RFP and I've not found it bothersome at all. But I do wear loose-fitting, comfortable work pants with big, deep pockets and cargo pockets, etc (not tight jeans or dress slacks which might not fare so well with a 6375). I love the large Stockman. It's a big (BIG!) sturdy knife that gives you a handful of grip and three stout blades at the ready.

This was taken yesterday :)

I don't have a Case Stockman, but I do have similar sized slip joints and I sewed up a small leather device to keep them upright in your front pocket. If you know just what knife it's for, you can make it fit loosely enough where it sits in the bottom of your pocket when removing the knife:

Mine get carried in the winter in an outdoor coat pocket, great carry. Same with large Teardrops or Moose types. Nice seasonal change if you like.

I don't like carrying a big knife in trouser pocket, too weighed down feeling. Nor do I favour belt sheathes either, but many others like them.

Thanks, Will

Started carrying mine again, after a few months hiatus. Rides in my right rear alongside my wallet. I like the big sturdy frame, having a few different blades available, and the smooth bone scales just feel nice. I use it to eat, to work, and (mostly) as a worry stone or just something to fidget with when I'm sitting down or reading.

One of the rare days I don't have one on me. My carry method depends on what I'm wearing and what else I'm carrying. Typically, it's in my left rear pocket vertically against my wallet.

The herd has grown since that photo. The large stockman fits my hand better than any of the other knives I own and I can walk out the door with just it and not feel like I may need more knife. I have no trouble carrying it in slacks but I can see how it could be cumbersome in a front pocket.

Nice line-up you have there JW85.

You're right about "not feel like I may need more knife". It's a real workhorse and offers lots of blade in a single package.

I carry mine in a leather pouch that hangs down in my pocket by paracord. Just enough retention so it doesn't fall out but not so much I can't remove it one handed. No pictures but. I got the idea from a previous thread a coouple years ago.

The case on the far right, how big? 3 5/8?

I carry a 4' CSC made Kabar stockman in the RFT often, sometimes in a pocket slip. The Case 6375 CV is just to long for my pocket. Should have gotten the 3 7/8", so this one will probably just get set back and forgotten about.
