I used to carry it in font pocket, but after todays visit to the Flea Market I'm not sure it's the best way (someone stole it from my front pocket)

any safer carry advice ?

sorry to here that, :( what type of knife are you going to carry in its place? As for the theif I hope he cuts himself

BM 730 clipped strongside right front pocket, BM AFCK clipped weakside Bud Nealy Aikuchi chained to belt loop right rear pocket for a static draw, and a couple of slip joints tucked into the bottom of my front pockets.

i carry a LUDT older model with the krylon inserts, plain edge in a custom sheath, black with snakeskin inlay with a foward tilt made by leatherman.knife is held tight and close to body.you can't go wrong with a sheath made by him.if you're interested e-mail me and i'll hook you up.

Right now I'm carrying a BM-705BT clipped to the inside of my waistband between by pants button and the first belt loop on the right. Very comfortable and accessible. Best way to carry a folder.

A Benchmade 710 clipped inside the waistband of my jeans by my right hip and a Spyderco Calypso Junior cillped inside the waistband between my buckle and left hip.

Spyderco Military PE in right front pocket.

FRN Endura SE(work), or FRN Native 35/65(non-work), in horizontal sheath on belt, left hip.

BTW, MamBo sorry to hear about your knife being ripped off, I hope that bastid cuts himself good.:mad:

On belt right side is a spyide goddard. in pocket right is a dyad jr. left pocket has a native Se also spydie.

Depdning on what i am doing, the goddard may sit at the small of my back

I don't it's so much a matter of where you put it, but that you're constantly aware of it. I was in Vegas several years ago with my wallet in my front left pocket and sitting at a blackjack table. My friends were the only ones at the table with me and I had several friends standing behind me. Someone still managed to get my wallet. I know that I definitely had it when I sat down since I had to cash in, and I know I had it sometime during since I would frequently put my hand on my wallet--but it still managed to walk away (right in the middle of a great winning streak). That definitely was not an easy steal. If you put it IWB, it might make it more difficult to swipe, but I'd say just force yourself to be more cautious.

Oh yeah, and I carry an Arclite around my neck and usually an M18 or a Boa in my right front pocket with a Chive in either my back pocket or a cargo pocket. Once in awhile a BM42 or 43 in a horizontal sheath clipped to my waistband--right-front.

Right front pocket. For the past week it has been a Carson large model 16. Otherwise it is a large Classic sebenza. Both ride deep enough that I don't often worry about anyone doing a grab and run on it. I have also developed a habit of brushing my right hand against the clip to make sure it is there. I also tend to keep my hand down at the right front pocket when I am in a crowd of people.

BTW, I often carry my large Classic Sebbie in a horizontal belt sheath over my right hip towards the front. I do this during the summer because my normal dress is a pair of shorts and a t-shirt untucked that tends to hide what I have on my belt. Now that school is getting started back up that will end except for the nights I work behind the Sporting Goods counter at the local Wally World, then all bets are off and it is as many knives as I can carry!!  :D

You could try clipping it into the coin pocket of your jeans, that way your shirt covers it and no one will steal it.

Geez Zeng!

That's one hell of a story! Out of the left FRONT? While SEATED?

One very much better than average pick pocket must have been at work.

I carry mostly clipped in right front. When cruising around (would include flea market) I generally have at least my thumbs hooked in my pockets, often the top of my hands looks frightful 'cause they were stuffed halfway in.

My wallet is right rear. Now I'm gonna be paranoid!

Yup...I was pretty damned shocked at it as well. A couple of weeks after I returned from Vegas it showed up at my house in the mail. Apparently they take the money and throw it into a mailbox and the Post Office sends it postage due to the address on your ID. So it was nice to get everything back even though it was sans cash. Luckily it was my last day in Vegas that it happened and didn't have too much cash in it.

More often than not my knife is clipped to my right front pocket. If I'm in a 'shady' part of town then I make sure that I keep my hands in my pocket.

Sometimes though I'll just re-clip it SOB or IWB depending on the size of the knife.

My usual EDC rotation includes a Large/small folder combo. Todays EDC is the Camillus Madd Maxx in the right front pocket, and the Camillus EDC in the watch pocket. I have found that if I slit the bottom of the watch pocket I can carry an assortment os smallish knives there without any discomfort or pushing up.

wow, out of your front pocket? thats really amazing, can't imagine how someone can get to if without you knowing, usually at the clubs i just put my wallet in the front and thats usually safe enough, one thing to consider regarding wallets is what kind of pants you are wearing, most pants i wear have deep pockets, but some pants have shallow pockets that allow for easier picking, also if your back pocket has a button or velcro closing then that should make it harder, i thinkt he safest place would be if you hade cargo pants and put then in the side pockets with the zipper OR if you want to be really safe get one of those wallets with the chain and chain it to your belt,

in regards to the knife i usually keep my utility folder in my front left pocket and a SD knife in a ballistic nylond sheath on my belt,
i think a sheath on your belt would be safest.

Microtech Socom Elite M/A or a Spyderco Wegner jr. (I use the smaller kife with slacks). Worn under my belt, inside my pant's waist band, just forward of my hip bone. I'm right handed so it goes on the right side. It is unoticed by others, is easy to reach, and does not restrict my movements. Works good.
