I'm working on ways to clip my Esee 4 to my pocket, and need inspiration. How do you guys carry your Esee's?

That might need to be hung from your belt with the Molle Back.

You could attach Blade Tech Locks or Blade Tech Klips. I have the Klips on a 3 and it works well for horizontal carry middle of back. Anything else prints too much.

Paracord, then onto my belt. Multiple carry methods, easily changable. Works for my 3 and 4(which I just got).

To be honest, for a while after first picking up my 3 a few years back, I just took the clip and cord off of the sheath and carried it in my back left pocket like my wallet. Well, not every day, but around camp and bumming around in the woods, I found it worked out pretty well in my pocket like this, probably due to the size and light weight. I tried a TekLock jammy and it worked ok, but I ended up picking up a sheath from Martin Swinkels and just belt-carry it now when I'm outside.

My Izula, in its kydex, rides like the 3 used to, only I'll carry it like this all week long when I'm carrying it. I don't have a 4, but I would reconsider clipping it to a pocket. Even if you use the pocket clip plate thing ESEE sells, clipping it inside a pocket just might feel, and look, a bit odd. I could see that getting quite annoying, but idk. The molle backs ESEE puts out look really nice. You might want to give one of those a try like obsessis said. Good luck, bud!

For hiking, etc, mine are in their factory sheaths strapped to my day pack, and safetied with paracord.

I carry my 3, 4, or HEST horizontal on my belt with paracord belt loops. Izzy is in my pocket, though carries just as easily on my belt like the others.

Izula - right front pocket, don't even feel it, it's the perfect size for a pocket fixed blade.

ESEE-4 - Hang from belt with the MOLLE back in the normal manner.

The OP had a legitimate question. I ended up putting the belt clip back on mine so it would ride lower. Then I got a Spec-ops sheath for it (on sale). I can draw a 4" blade knife up high, but it is harder with a 6" blade, at least for me. Nowadays, ESEE has that cool molle back. That would be the way to go if I didn't already have another setup.

OOps....wrong thread!

I sometimes carry one of my Izulas in my back jean pocket and looped around my belt with just enough length of paracord.

I also sport an Izula in an adjustable shoulder holster rig I fashioned with nothing but paracord and a buntline hitch knot. Great for warm weather under an open shirt.

I tried paracord loops on the belt(small of back) and it printed too much. But I am a big boy.

Most ride on my belt with a Tec-loc or a kydex loop. Junglas and lite machete go on the side of a pack or on a baldric.

That's my daughter in the photo. I couldn't find my wide-angle lens to actually get a good shot of myself w/ ESEE-4.

4 is on my tactical diaper bag, soon to be BOB when the new TDB comes in the mail. Izula is in back left pocket, or front pocket if not carrying a folder.

good question indeed! i searched a while for the best way to carry my izula until i realized that i like to be flexible (and as little bulk as possible) and that there is not the one way to go. so i tried paracord but didnt like the wobble. then i saw pictures of someone using (thick) zip ties - looks cheap BUT works great for me! i always carry some spare ones and if i want to reattach it - it's a matter of seconds and can be adjusted just the way you want...
i even used that method on my BK2 (which sports a pretty lousy sheath by the way)
