How do you carry your small spydies?

Picked up a usn ladybug recently. Headed to the beach tonight for a Labor Day firework show and decided it is the perfect time to bring the little guy. I just have it thrown in my pocket but I'm scared I'll lose it when I reach for my keys.

So I was curious how everyone here carries their small spydies? Mainly talking models with no pocket clip.

This is how I carry my LB3 Salt...

That's pretty sweet! What is that?

Definitely want to do something because I am scared I'm going to lose it

I don't understand why Spyderco even makes any knives without pocket clips .
It's very easy to remove a clip if you don't like it , but very hard to install one when no consideration was given during the design stage .
My GB Air is a fantastic knife which is a design wonder that fails in the home straight due to its lack of clip . Not having a means of securing it in my pocket or waistband annoys the snot out of me , and as a result has only been carried occasionally since I got it .
All because of the lack of a simple pocket clip ( a feature that Spyderco developed , changed and improved the knife world forever with ).

PS- The only way I feel comfortable carrying a small no clip folder is in a button down shirt pocket , or belt sheath .

Maybe with a knife that small there's not much keeping it planted in the pocket.

I have a Manbug or Ladybug in the bottom of my pocket or in my watch pocket almost everyday, along with a larger knife clipped in my pocket. I've never felt like I might lose it and I don't think I'd want a clip on it.

Once I lost my nice knife with no clip...that was the last.

All my knives have, and retain, their clips. And, I use them.

for me the frist thing to go is the clip , tears up my pocket. feels wrong in the hand and screams KNIFE KNIFE .pocket knifes ride in the pocket untill needed

I carry my ladybugs on my key rings. If I want a small blade with a clip I bring a dragonfly. The DF salts are great for the beach or any wet environments.

I have a couple Dragonflys I carry clipless in my left pocket to accompany a larger blade. The only time they will occasionally try to sneak out is when I'm sitting down. Even that is a very rare occurance. Haven't lost any yet!

i enjoy pocket clips, even my worker has the clip, this would be my smallest spydie though, and carry one of my native's most of the time!ether one clips on my coin pocket or regular right side pocket, like said' one can always remove the clips if you don't like!

I use mine as a bottle opener, the extra weight makes it easier to double check its in the pocket.

Sincerely,
Ego sum Chrysaora

I carry my small to medium knives in my waistband at around 4:00. All have clips and I really do forget they are there.

For the GB Air you might look for a leather pocket sheath with a clip. I know Knivesshipfree carried some that used a magnet to clip to the pocket.

As for the small Spydies, they fit great in coin pocket.

I'm in a unusual position in the that I actually make and produce my own leatherwork as a hobby .
Spyderco has a lot to answer for because the pocket clip basically put my hobby out of business overnight .
If you look at my Sig line you will realise that efficiency and simplicity are the absolute essence of my beliefs.
Pocket clips made folder leatherwork obsolete in a blink of an eye .

Here is a pic of my pocket clip sheath that I use for my GB Air .
It's a whole lot of complication , when a pocket clip on the knife is the most sensible solution .

That's a great looking sheath.

I agree about the pocket clip though, on the GB Air anyway. If it had a clip I'd be carrying it rather than a Delica.

Really would like to get a super blue bug. Would keep it on a danger like the ones above.

This one's been carried on my key ring for almost 13 years.

Not every knife needs a pocket clip. Not every knife owner wants to risk having their knife suddenly disappear because a clip snagged on something. I've carried larger knives loose in my back pocket, smaller ones in my coin pocket, and tiny ones with my keys for over 60 years, and have yet to lose one. It's nice to have at least a few models where I don't have to chose between having an appendage I consider useless disfiguring my knife or having the remants of its presence doing the same.
