How do you center a blade?

Is there a good video clip or article on this? I always seem to have a hard time with this. For example tonight I was working on a Kershaw Vapor II. After an hour all I did was adjust the pivot using a torx driver but when the blade looked almost centered it was way too tight to open one handed. I wish there was a knife club in my area where I could watch someone do this.

Loosen all the screws on the handle.adjust pivot to your liking. If blade is off center push it to the side opposite where it is off. While holding the blade to the opposite side tighten down the handle screws and it should center up.

I have tried several times now to find something like a book or even DVD which covers many of the basics for both maintenance of pocket knives, as well as mods such as installing aftermarket scales. Still haven't found that type of thing yet.
