Usually when I clean micarta I can get it clean with a brush and soap.
But on my Rukus it doesn't come off. I have used an entire can of carb cleaner, along with all other kinds of heavy duty cleaners. Does anyone know how to get the oil from your hand OUT of the micarta on a Rukus?

A cotton ball, and rubbing alcohol will do the trick. Just wet the cotton ball with the alcohol and rub until it comes clean.

A Magic Eraser or other melamine foam products work well cleaning Micarta and other phenolic material. The open cell foam works like super fine sandpaper and requires no chemicals.

I don´t have that much experience with micarta at all.

But wouldn´t lighter fluid help, too? I´m just curious about... just in case.

I tried the alcohol and it worked a little. I ended up taking the micarta off and sanding the handles.
I'm used to micarta but every Rukus pic I see on the internet, I can tell how much its been used by the handle color.
