How do you close your PM 2 ?

I've only have 2. I close mine by holding the knife vertical, keep you fingers on the clip and thumb on the right side pivot, hold the lock all the in, flick my wrist

just a little bit and release the lock when the blade is at the end of the scales. Sometimes the blade will come out of the scales just a little if I

hold the lock in too long.

It's fast, easy, and I don't have worry about my fingers getting cut.

Pretty much the same way...thumb rests along length of handle pointing toward blade's tip. Index finger operates compression lock. Tips of 3 remaining fingers rest against reverse side of the knife on the G-10 along the pocket clip.

FLIP!

I do this with the blade pointing up but I don't have to flip it. I just push the lock in and the blade just falls into the closed position by gravity.

The last time I did gravity closing there was a lot of bleeding involved so I do a more controlled closing now.

I hold my hand with palm up, the knife in my palm with the sharp edge turned up. Fingers 3 and 4 are holding the handle against the heel of my hand. Push the lock with my middle finger, push the blade up with my first finger.

My pivot's pretty loose.
I hold the knife horizontal, and squeeze the lock. As the blades swings down, I swing the handle up. I sometimes have to tap the spine or do a little quick counterswing to get the final click, but usually not. At no time to my fingers come near theat razor sharp edge.

My BM940 is set up the same way - just a different lock mechanism.

I have tightened and re-loosened the pivots since I received them, but both are currently set up as-received. I can open with thumbs, as well, or without - just by releasing the lock. And I love it.

I squeeze the lock with my fingers out of the way, let the blade fall just enough to disengage, and then close it either with my other hand or my pushing it against something.
I use a similar technique with a Manix2.

I hold the knife with my thumb just below the pivot, and my fingers are spread behind at the tips, so not to protrude the handle. thus allowing my middle finger to release the lock. Takes a bit of practice, but comes off really cool because you are only moving your middle finger.
Cheers

I either use my index finger to operate the lock and let it fall closed, or if i want a more controlled close, I go for blade down, thumb actuates the lock, pointer finger in the spyder hole. that way i control the blade all the way into the handle. Since it has a nice choil, actuating the lock with your thumb and letting it fall closed on your fingers is another option, since the choil will prevent the blade hitting your fingers.

Almost dropped my knife on myself doing whatever that was lol

Guess everyone have their own way.....each person's hand is different. So best to find a way that is safe and eventually fast.

Being a lefty, I pinch the compression lock with my left thumb to release the blade. Then I complete the close by gently pressing the spine of the blade against my left pocket where my empty wallet resides.

Same way I treat spyderco midlocks, unlock it with my thumb and flip it down till it stops on the index finger. Only difference is I push the lock to the side instead of down, and there's not as much tension keeping the blade in position when I finish the closing motion with the thumb or index finger.

Give a thumbs up then put open pm2 in hand with index on the lock and the other fingers wrapped around the handle. Punch the lock and user your thumb to guide it home.
