How do you decide?

I know many of you have more then one spyderco, so how do you decide what you're carrying that day? Which one to get? I usual get knives I know I will use. I'm headed up to the knife shop soon which they have tons of spydercos. I wanna look at the SS endura, the ATR, and a bunch I can't remember. More then likely I'll be walking away with a new spydie. Oh the choices!!!

....hmmmm...what about the militery model? G-10...mmmm...

My different Spydies "feel" different, and have different roles.

-Military - Carry it when I want to be equipped for anything. I never feel under-knifed with this one in my pocket

-Paramilitary - Sometimes the Millie's just too big. When I use a knife in mixed company, a smaller package freaks 'em out less. The Para's my most common carry, but the blade wobble compromises my faith in it.

-Calypso Jr. - For variety, when I want a "slicker", prettier knife than the Military family. She's still full flat ground, and cuts like a demon.

-Kiwi - Generally carry it in the watch pocket of my jeans when I'm pretty sure I won't need a larger knife, or as a discreet alternative to drawing a larger knife.

-Delica - My old EDC, and still a fine knife. I carry it when I expect the environment may be hostile to knives (security, friends needing to borrow...)

-Police - A rare carry these days. It's in my pocket when I want a full-sized knife, but want a "slicker" piece than the Millie. It's rare that I'm prepared to sacrifice the Millie's advantages, though.

At one time or another I have had just about every model and the ones I have come back to are the Military PE,G10 Native PE(really wish a production version of this one in black g10 would pop up) and the Starmate PE.The old style Endura PE is a nice carry and the Native SS PE.
I also carried the SS Rookie PE much more than I thought I would have.

Hey Angeles, you're in Maine right? Where is this knife shop with all the spydies? I know of two, one in Freeport and one in Camden, is it one of these or am I missing one? Oh, sorry three. Treestump leather used to have a great selection of some unusual knives. Just curious, wondering if there is a new place to check out when I am back that way.
