How do you display your knives?

Nice knives and display! Scary wall color!

I have glass doored shadow boxes just deep enough for knives. I backed them with cloth covered galvanized sheet steel, and display the knives with pemanent magnets hidden behind the blades. Works great as you can't see how they are attached!

Nice displays guys.

Mine just get dumped into a rubber maid container.

My carry knives (half a dozen) are lined up neatly next to my alarm clock, where I can decide which ones shall accompany me for the day. My other knives live in various drawers, ammo cans, and the armrest of my car. Then there's the pushdagger sticking out between the mattress & box-spring, and the Nightshade copy of said push dagger hanging from a hook in the shower -- but those aren't really "on display" unless you're lookin' REAL close!

I have two nice oak book cases, I've added glass doors to them and proudly display all my babies there. I need to get a new one, though, I'm running out of space.

Nice displays and knives,guys!
Planning on building a bamboo knife rack for my Bowie's and Fighters. :)

I have a knife display case that I keep my nicer folders in. My fixed blades and the rest of my folders I keep in a cabinets. Some of my WH and CRK folders I keep in a safe, I open it when I want to display.

I display my bayonet and fighting knife collection on a large sheet of pegboard. I hang the bayonets tip down on those metal tool hangars that plug into the holes on the pegboard. My productions and handmades go on my bookcase.

i use a 16" x 36" Pottery Barn shadow box. great for storing my knives. i have to keep them locked up in a room to keep the Better-half happy though.

Mr.Penguin, I like those shelves!

The only ones I have out in the open are some of my regularly carried pocketknives (about a dozen), that are lined up on top of my chest of drawers. But I wouldn't call that "on display." They're just there for me to pick through for what to carry.

All my other knives are either stored in an antique wooden box, that rests inside a glass-door cabinet, with a bunch of other "stuff", or they are in "user" locations: inside pocket survival kits, coat pockets, fishing vests, backpacks, by my bedside, etc.......ready for use!

Very cool idea! Did you glue the magnets to the sheet metal, or is glue not necessary?

I bought an acrylic knife tree , found it by accident while looking for those little plastic stands. The folks that run this site shipped it out to me real fast. It wasn't expensive and it looks nice. Now that I know what it looks like I'm going to order another one.

I'm going to keep the ones I use during the week on the stand , the rest go in a knife roll. The very last place on top is too small for anything so I would say it holds 6 knives.

I don't display mine. I live in a little, rented apartment, and I won't be there for much longer, so logistically it makes more sense to store them rather than display them.
I also would rather not have everyone who comes into my house know what I have. "Everything ain't for everybody." Just as I don't open my wallet in front of people, or pull out my #!%&. Take it out when you need to use it, but don't wave it around in public. That's my feeling.
Perhaps I'm just more of a private person than some, about certain things.

Peace.
Alex.

I keep a small portion of mine on top of my desk. They are mostly those that have special sentimental value of some sort and my users and carriers. All others are stored in several large boxes about 10 feet away from me.
