How do you display your kukris?

I have two pieces of hardened glass that I removed from an old door from a store that was being torn down in one of the small towns near where I live and I am going to make two display cases using these five foot pieces of glass for the top that I will hinge. I may change my mind and put the glass in the front side and just hinge a lid for the cases. I keep thinking how careless some kids are around nice furniture, so a glass top might not be the way to go.

I don't know at this point just where I want to put them. My wife doesn't care where I put them as long as there is enough room and I do a good job on them so they look nice.

For a while I will have to be taking pretty good care of myself and take a lot of Anti biotics for the case of walking pmonia I picked up some where.
That's what the Doc told me today. Take one of these big pills every day with out fail and get plenty of rest And the wife put in here two cents worth and told him she would make sure that I would get the rest. She know though that I am not the kind to sit around and do nothing for very long. I would think that another case similar to your gun case would be a fitting way to display your khuks if you have room for all of them.:)

Not the best pic, but it gives you the idea. They hang just to the side, and about shoulder level, from my bed. (easy access)Khuk display
The lines across the blades are a piece of plastic coated wire, to keep the khuk from rolling off the pegs. It was all I had to work with at the time. I'm still working on a better method. will be interested to see how others do it.

Its on a pistol belt opposite a 1942 Enfield No2 Mk1 ** revolver in .380 Service. On a peg beside the bed. No pic available.

I hide all mine. Don't like advertising to thieves.

What I put on display is a picture of my mother-in-law.
;) ;) :D :D

Can you send me a pic to tape on the side of my bucket? :) ;)

The wooden pegs reminds me of my cap rack. I do have some pretty good looking wood to make smaller projects out of but, I have done a lot of things with nothing but scraps from some other project. I have a hard time ever making myself throw away a ;iece of wood if it can possibly be used for something. Just a pack rat at heart I guess.

Looks to me like you did just fine for what you had to work with.:)

Somewhere I have some pics of a cantina regular's display, khuks wired to a board and surrounded with an inexpensive frame, for wall-mounting. If you have a frame with glass you can even put "In case of emergency break glass" on it :D

edit: my current display is a clothes basket. Fits just right for big ones on the bottom and smaller ones on top. When I open my fun closet I can see a whole group of eyes staring back at me :D

Mine sleep on 2 large bronze hooks in the wardrobe area about 3 ft. from my side of the bed, my spatha and gladius are held horizontally by the hooks. gives me a choice on what to grab justincase.

the HI kobra likes me and follows me around the house except when i'm sleeping.

Wouldn't dream of exposing them to any old person coming into the front room unless they manage to get by the 80lb snarly biting toothy creature that shares the other side of the bed (the puppy that is, not the wife who is now no longer with me, tho she would have been more dangerous) if they come up univited i might give them a free lesson in the proper use of pointy sharp things. the axe will have to watch tho, not enuff room to swing the bloody thing inside, tho if they want to wait outside....

I display mine when someone comes over wanting to look at them. Digging 'em outta the safe ain't a problem, but getting them all back in is a pain in the arse sometimes.:D
