How do you EDC your fixed blade?

Hey all. Just wondering what you guys do with your small fixed blades. I bought an Izula 2 and am thinking about using it as my EDC. Just can't find a comfortable or convenient way to carry it. I drive a lot with my job and the belt clip method gets in the way. I also just used the sheath it came with and popped it in my front pocket but it's too much of a pain to get it in and out. Wondering if there's other options I haven't found online or thought of, or maybe the fixed blade EDC thing isn't for me.

Ive never really had an issue with smaller fixed blades off on my side, even a 4.5" crkt dragon, but with a belt clip, what I do with larger blades is simply remove it and stuff it next to the seat and center consol while driving... Reclip upon exiting the vehicle. Much like taking a phone out of your pocket before driving...

While I carry some vertically on my belt, I prefer horizontal (Scout carry ), mounted on my left side so I can cross-draw with my right hand.

I wear my Izula 2 on my right side, clipped on the belt(in between front and back Jean pocket), handle down, blade edge forward. By wearing it inverted, it is quite comfortable even to drive with. The stock clip can be flipped in its plastic plate too.

I made a new sheath for my Izula 1. The belt clip and big clunky sheath were way too uncomfortable.

I think so too. The clip on the sheath it came with isn't that secure and it slides and rotates on my belt. I'm thinking I'm just going to take the clip part off the sheath and keep it in my pocket. I'm just afraid of losing it. Haha. God knows how much money I've lost because my change keeps falling out. I've lost 3 knives that didn't have pocket clips because they slipped out somewhere.

Hey man, I don't EDC a fixed blade, I do keep one in the truck, and have one in or on my carry pack (tad lightspeed) but I don't EDC it per se.

I just wanted to point out that MANY makers in my experience don't send their products with the best sheaths or at least, certainly won't meed the needs
of all of their customers. You might look into getting a custom made or different type of sheath to meet your specific needs.

You might prefer kydex IWB, leather belt loop, or something with a tec-lock that can be easily attached and removed from the belt. Lots of options out there.
Best of luck!

^^This, except I carry it over my left hand pocket, so it is 'in front'. Very easy to draw with left hand into a reverse knife grip with edge out. Literally instantaneous from under the edge of a T-shirt. I usually have a folder on the right side that is visible.

These are Blind Horse Knives "Bushbabies."
I've shown two ways that I can carry pretty comfortably.
I prefer the D-ring carry in the last photo...with the lanyard, it can be easily withdrawn for use.

High-ride belt sheaths work best for me as I'm in the saddle most of the day and until I secure a decent horizontal rig I need to keep the sheath from hitting the cantle.

My Bk-15 works well this way, but I'm experimenting with some antler scales and will need a new sheath soon.

I simply drop mine in my front pocket. The stock sheath will pop off with some force if you grasp the knife and push the sheath with your thumb.

In my man bag or on my belt.

Although I really like this idea...

When I'm out in my woods cutting firewood or maintaining the trail I wear a dropleg rig, it gives me a secure way to carry and easy access...

Sonnydaze I gotta ask cause it's bothering me but did you flip the pic of the knife in your pocket because it's on the wrong side....

Never mind, I just realized you took the picture in a mirror.:o

simple pouch sheath in my front pocket. carrying even a small fixed around here gets you the looks even though it is legal.
