Well, aparently your wife has to know you have "lost" a knife, and she will pull it from the drawer she put it in to keep your 2 year old daughter safe from it! Crazy thing is, I told her I couldn't find a knife I had lost, and she informed me that if I didn't have so many knives, she would have known which one I was missing.:rolleyes: Well, all is good that ends good. Thanks for all the well wishes and I'm glad I'll have a chance to sharpen this fella up.
I've added a couple pics to show the size of the Mountain Man. Alongside is a GEC 73, good size knife in his own right. Well, the big fella will be in rotation again soon.

It's probably in the pocket of the guy who walked by that magic knife tree;)
I usually find lost stuff in the "last place I looked:)"


It'll show up, you probably put it down in an unusual place...
 
Chair, couch, car, under the bed, in the closet in a jacket or other pair of pants.....
There are a ton of places, but it will show up. :thumbup:
 
Check your car, between the seat and console. If you have a bench seat, check under and behind the seat.

I hope you find it.

ETA--Have your wife/GF look. My wife says I can't find anything because I was not equipped with a uterus.
 
Well Nuts I hope you find it. Mine went missing for a while and I found it in my shooting bag.

Check the pockets of clothes in your hamper. I've found a few of my "lost" knives that way.
 
Ohhhhh, I cringe at the thought of losing one of my knives! Good luck and I hope you find it soon.

But if'n you're anything like myself, you'll find her purdy quickly.. Like others have mentioned here already, she'll likely turn up PDQ somewhere's where you were as of late.. and then you'll get that little happy rush of adrenaline hit you fast!. My kind of feeling.. :cool:!!

It's heartbreaking losing a nice blade like that. I hope it turns up soon.
 
I keep most of my new additions in my ammo cache. In my case, it would have probably been covered up with ammo. It will turn up.
 
I lost my Mountain Man very briefly. Got home from a trip to a friend's cabin and it wasn't in my pocket! Happily, it had fallen out in the car, and, as TheSharpStuff mentioned, I found it under the car seat. Whew, I was relieved. It's my favorite lockback. Hope yours shows up.
 
Don't want to get all religious, but my wife always tells me and the kids to say the prayer to St. Anthony when we lose something. It usually works!
