How do you get banned?

Hey guys! While reading threads in this forum, I have seen the word "banned" under some people's names. What do people have to do for this to happen?

Thanks a bunch! I wasn't aware of some of the rules, whereas others are just common sense. Where am I looking on my profile if I were to check for points?

Click the "My Profile" link at the top right corner of the forum page.

You will see a tab in your profile that says " Infractions".
That is where you find what infractions you have and how many points you've accrued.
This tab is only visible to you and the moderation staff.

So if I don't have an infractions tab does that mean that I've never received an infraction so it isn't there or does it mean look harder moron it's right in front of your face?

The tab is there, I just checked your profile. You have no infractions. If you feel left out, I can give you as many as you'd like.
Yes, you will get an email when you get an infraction.

Chances are if you don't see an infraction tab, it is because you have none.
