how do you glue camel bone?

I bought a Damascus knife (from Pakistan). To forestall a lecture, possibly, let me first say I have a lot of Buck & Becker knifes but have purchased the odd Damascus blade from Pakistan from time to time. Most have been very nice. Some have not been so nice (and these I gave to my son who likes to tinker). The knife in question looked and at first seemed to be exceptionally nice, but then a crack appeared in the handle. I'm not complaining about the seller. I have a bone handled knife from Buck with cracks in the handle just like this one (except the seemed to have been sealed in some fashion).

I decided to keep the knife and hope to use it hiking, but I think I need to glue the handle to keep the crack from migrating further. The handle material is camel bone. The crack isn't gaping, just very noticeable and seems to be migrating. I'm not sure a photo would help but am willing to take one if anyone has any ideas and that would help.

Thanks

I spoke to my son about this and he recommended a Windshield crack repair kit; so I sent for that. The bone is smooth and polished and while I don't need to make the crack invisible I would like it to stop migrating, but also I wouldn't like a bumpy glue ridge. He said I should apply it sparingly with my hand inside a baggie and smooth it with that.

To soften any bad feelings I might have, the seller offered me an additional knife at half price; so I picked one out and sent him the money. That was clever of him. If the new knife turns out okay he prevented my posting a negative note on eBay and he probably isn't losing any money by selling it at half price.

use ca (superglue) you can polish it afterward with cho ox the green kind of polishing compound.

I also use Zap-a-gap occasionally. It comes in different viscosity to run into smaller cracks. Can be found at most hobby stores.
