How do you guys like the Kizer Vanguard Roach..?

Not my style personally, and I haven't handled thay specific kizer, but if its anything like the rest of my kizers I bet its an astounding knife :)

You gonna get it?

I was very much considering this knife with the black g10. But I ended up going with the Kizer Ki404b2 because I was able to find the newer version with the tip up carry option.

Well, I doubt any of us care for 'carp' - no matter the origin.

I don't care for China made crap.:barf:

....so just to be clear, You dont own anything Chinese made?

As for me, I quite like the lines of the knife.

I really like the looks of the knife, but it's too heavy. I've quit buying folders over 5 oz. It won't get carried.

the quality of kizer knives is right up there with american companies like zero tolerance in my opinion. they give you high quality knives with the same materials and they also collaborate with lots of well known knifemakers for designs.

That didn't take long.

Anyway, I really, really like the design, but it has too much working against it for me to pick one up. The handle looks like it would be incredibly comfortable in extended use and allow for excellent leverage, and the spear point blade definitely speaks to me, but I have plenty of 3.5" bladed folders, I don't like liner or framelocks and I don't love when knives are flipper only.

So, aesthetically, oh heck yes and, knowing Kizer, I'm sure the quality is there, but not on my list

I'd honestly be more interested in a fixed blade version! Seems like it'd be a great little utility knife.

I dunno man, I have a few Kizers and I think they're a pretty impressive company. Well made, and great price points for the materials they use. I don't personally own the roach, but I like my current Kizers very much.

Couldn't have said it better myself :D

Looks like a wider, non-recurved version of the RealSteel E77 / SanRenMu 9054MUC.
