Owned one, as in past tense...it has probably some of the worst ergonomics of any knife I have ever held. I bought it LNIB without holding one, big mistake! The g10 has no grip at all, it feels almost like wood, the opening oval hole is awkward and works poorly and there is no jimping. To top it off the knife is very heavy despite having milled out liners. I took a bath on if in resale but was glad just to get something for it and be done.

Probably one of the worst knife designs ever in my opinion.

I would own one if there were a smaller version with a blade steel I need. The ergonomics are great for my type use.

I love the ergos. Probably one of the best I've held. It is a large knife though. Very thick blade stock. The knife doesn't need jimping because it seats so well in hand. Deep carry clip makes it disappear in the pocket. Love the hole on this knife, flicks open fast and has no issues with snagging the thumbstuds while cutting.

Love my Loco's!
Super duty liners, lock & blade; but still slices...awesome.

Strange, i've never heard anyone say that about the loco. I think for a slick handle it has one of the best designs ever for ergo's, might be your hands? I carried mine for months and it's a down right tank of a knife that still slices like a laser with the right edge. Basically a satin adamas that slices. Fantastic knife.

I had a Loco for awhile, liked it, especially the blade, if would have had jimping in all the right spots like the 275 I would have held onto it a bit more I believe. I only really carry multitools anymore, so all folders gone mostly.

If you like bedlam, think youd like loco. Think I like the bedlam better, but man is the bedlam a bulky knife, even compared to Loco/275. Wish they would make a mini bedlam.

I just constantly felt like I was going to cut myself, between the awkward opening hole and the lack of texture it made me really uncomfortable. I think it might be in part because I'm used to spyderco round holes.

I will say that the Loco does carry very well for a knife of its size and weight...we can all agree it is HEAVY. The deep carry clip does remarkably well.

My Loco was half again larger than I anticipated. Yet while it carried well and enjoyable to use, I traded it for something smaller and was one of the quickest deals ever made. Agreed; If there was a smaller version that would appeal to me as well.

I actually just sold mine this week. I loved the ergos, the oval shaped opening hole, and the blade shape. I felt like the size was perfect and I didn't mind the "slippery" G10 or the lack of jimping. However, this knife is HEAVY.

I've never been bothered by weight when it comes to folding knives before. In fact, I used to think those people obsessed with weight were looking for specs that didn't matter in the real world. However, because this knife was so heavy, I basically just quit carrying it. Unless (and sometimes even if) I was wearing jeans, this thing would pull down my pocket awkwardly. I don't care for deep carry clips either so that was a small strike against it, and I bought the coated blade version when I don't like coated blades (had to buy one to make sure I still didn't like them, right? :P)

I loved everything about this knife except the weight. If they made a similar version without full liners and shaved like 2 or 3 ounces off it I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Also I'm not too sure why the guy above "took a bath" reselling his. I found mine kept most of its value, as Benchmades tend to do.

A while back there was a discussion about why this knife was a black class knife. I think the heavy duty-ness (made a new word) of the knife shines through if you use it for a week. As long as you know this going in I'm sure you'll love it. It's basically an Adamas. (though I've never owned an Adamas so I'm speculating.)

If you decide to buy one, I hope you enjoy it!
