How do you like your sheepdog?

I've been thinking about bowie-bladed Emerson's and looking at the Sheepdog flipper and the Spectrum (for next time I have funds for a knife purchase).
I'm usually not a fan of flippers, so mostly thinking about the Spectrum, but would love to hear how the sheepdog (either blade style) has been working for you?
Do you have one? What do you think of the flipping action? Does it still wave well?
thanks

Haven't put it into my EDC rotation much as I favor smaller folders. I do carry it in my briefcase occasionally when I know I have heavy cardboard box breakdowns for the day. My example has perfect blade centering, 40% lock up (my preference), smooth action, tissue slicing sharpness and lightening fast flipping. I wear lightweight cargo pants so wave deployment takes deliberate thought to catch the pocket seam reliably. The thumb disk is unnecessary IMO and I may remove it to allow deep cuts into cardboard. Handle ergonomics are great as are most Emersons. I have the spearpoint but should've gone with the bowie as I find the tip better for finer work.

The Sheepdog is just as tough as any other Emerson, but it has the ability to open every way imaginable now with a flipper. It's got a light enough detent to fly out, but also safe when closed. I have a Vindicator, and the Sheepdog gets more pocket time.

IMO, it's one of the best flippers I own, and would never sell it.

Thanks for the input. Sheepdog looks like a contender :)
I like the versatility in opening options.

Sheepdog is a great knife. One that I recommend for sure. Hell, Love mine so much I put a pocketclip on it that cost more than the knife.:D

^^I bought it 2nd hand off another forum. They are very rare and I believe available only at shows. I don't recall ever seeing them posted as available at dealers. Perhaps a call to Steel Flame is in order for you. They make stuff all the time that isn't on their webstore.

Thanks for the tip. I'll def have to give them a call! That clip was made for that knife....looks great.

I have both models and they are excellent!
Even with the flipper trimmed down, it still flys open....very well made.
