i would like my G10 to look shinier or glossy. Could clear coat it,polish or wax it?

Most times, G-10 is checkered for better grip. It's not supposed to be slick and shiny, it's supposed to be durable and grippy. That's why it comes to you out of the box like that. If you do happen to have some slick G-10, and aren't concerned with it being grippy, it should buff out pretty shiny with the right compound. I've seen a pink compound that works like magic on every handle material that I've seen. I believe it is made for buffing wood handles.

You can spray it with WD-40. It looks kind of shiny, wet, for a while.

Oiling it will only give you a matte finish after a while. The original reply was right, sand with a high grit paper then buff with green polish. It'll come out shiny only if you sand it really, really well. The process takes a lot of time.

The simplest way is to wet sand with wet/dry sandpaper and finish by buffing. Wet sanding eliminates dust and gives you a very fine finish. The polishing adds luster to the handle. If the contours of the handles are well designed, it will give you good grip, even with a smooth finish.
