How do you 'organize' your EDC?

Just curious how you guys keep your EDC organized.. I'm very OCD about that sort of stuff, so I can't just have it sitting wherever, this is what I've come up with for mine though. :)

Nice and tidy :).
I keep my wallet and keys and stuff in a bowl. Knives are all over the place, but I'm getting a knife stand for the knives I'm using. The rest are (supposed to be) going in a case.
The stuff I have in my bag stays there pretty much all the time (medicines, phone charger, etc).

Everywhere. I keep telling myself I'm going to organize it, but I never get around to it. The majority is thrown into a mess on my nightstand, but it's all scattered throughout the house. I need to find a cool way to organize atleast just the EDC items.

I got one of those 3 drawer plastic organizers from wal mart. Also put that soft black shelve plastic stuff on bottom of each drawer so knives dont get scratched or slide around. I got 40 knives in there. works good so far.

Well what ever i was carrieing that day (keys blade wallet phone) useually gets tossed into the hat i was wearing that day.
My other blades i carry are in an ammo can i picked up, its not as awesome as cheys up there but it works :)

I want to modify a cigar box to have a proper place for each one. But for now I use a box in which a Parker fountain pen I bought for my son's HS graduation came.

Most of mine stays in my pants pockets. I get home, take my pants off and hang them on a hook in the closet and everything stays there until the next day when I put the pants back on. If for some reason I have to wear different pants the next day, I take the stuff out of one set of pockets and put in the other set of pockets.

My car keys and cellphone are different, they get placed on the table at the end of the sofa when I come into the house and they stay there until I am leaving the next morning.

Nice setup, Scott. I have a drawer in my nightstand dedicated to my ZT blades, Leathermans, Becker BK7, and a few other goodies. I recently lined the drawer with that soft shelf liner stuff from wallymart to keep things in their place.

This is the "correct" answer :), though I often remove an EDC item or two just to play with it.

My EDC stays in my pockets until I change pants the next morning. I'm a volunteer EMT and like to be able to dress and go when the pager goes off. No searching for a light or anything else!

One folder is stored in a old PDA or smartphone case on my desk for indoor and home use.
Another EDC folder is placed close to my wallet, key pouch etc.
All other knives are stored up in their original boxes and stored inside a plastic case.

Kept meaning to answer this question, so here it is. I keep my folding knives in a ZT knife bag, much like the one shown. I usually keep out two or three knives, the big ones, that I might rotate through for a bit, along with a couple slipjoints for the same reason. These are placed on my nightstand in a rectangular tin box, something like cookies or the like would come in during the holidays. I lined the bottom with some of the shelf liner that is rubberized to keep things from sliding, and all three large, and the two slippies fit great inside this box. As for my fixed blades, and I only have a few, they adorn the walls of my bedroom.

I keep all my knives in a large aluminum, foam-lined case but my EDC items usually just sit on my nightstand when I go to bed.

I toss all my EDC items in a Maxpedition "Travel Tray" and it works QUITE nicely. While that one stays at home most of the time, on the rare occasions I travel it always comes with me. Helps keep me from losing my daily companions when I tuck in for the night at the hotel and it takes up no space in a bag since it packs flat.

I usually only really EDC one knife for long periods of time. It's been my CPM M4 millie for a very long time. I'm not very organized, but if I'm up and about at home, I have it on me. Usually clipped IWB, even if I'm in PJs. Once I'm in bed, it's on the guitar amp next to my bed which serves as a nightstand.

I then have my drawer which I would call my "EDC Drawer" but it's really just pocket knife storage, as I do not constantly change EDC knives. It's got a handful of Spydercos, a Kershaw, and some slipjoints. Also, I usually have a SAK hanging around, either on my desk or dresser, and lately my 2011 BF easy open jack has been hanging around my desk.
