It used to be with the previous version you could post a link to another website or other thread and instead of a big ol ugly link you could post a single word like "HERE" that was the link..is this still possible to do..??

Like this?
I just highlight the word I want to be the link, then click the "chainlink and globe" button. The word that one wants to link must already be in the body of the post.

Sure, you can still post a true hyperlink -- use the same syntax as before if you were using vBulletin code. You can't use html any more; too much potential for abuse, but vBulletin code is cooler anyway.

If you don't know the code click on "FAQ" near the top of the page.

Okay, the easy method for computer retards: Use the method GG_Blaisdell explained, or in more detail:

First type the word or phrase that you want to show in the body of your post, such as guess who's a computer retard. Then highlight it. Then click the "insert link" icon above the box you type your post in. It looks like a chainlink and globe and when you put your mouse cursor on it a rollover says "Insert Link." When you click it a dialogue box will pop up. Paste or type in the url.

Geeeee I'm glad you brought this up Ren.
I knew at one time how to do this, but the last time I wanted to do it I couldn't remember how.

Thanks all.
