How do you recenter the blade on Buck 500?

Recently purchased a used Buck 500 in very good condition, (80's vintage) except for the blade being off center. It's almost touching the scales. Is there an easy fix or do I need to send it to Buck? Appreciate any ideas on this.

I havent heard of one going off-center. Is there blade play in any direction? With the 500 being the sweet knife that it is and becoming less avialable and it being 80's, I'd send it to Buck for proper repair.

+1 The "Duke" is one of my favorites, so I'd agree with fritz.

I would check and see if you can feel the blade rivet with your finger nail. Maybe there is a noticeable ring around it that you can catch your nail on. If so, the rivet is probably popped which could cause the blade to move over and we really need to fix that for you.
We do try to center the blade in every knife but a knife is considered acceptable as long as it is not actually touching the side.
