How do you refinish Ti handles ?

I just recieved a used Benchmade Pinnicle . It is in great shape except the Ti is darkened and slightly scratched . Is there a way to sand or refinish these grips ?

Hey Edd,
You can clean up the dark patches with a pencil eraser and then a little Windex.As far as the sratches go,well.....rebead blast i quess?

Titanium can be polished just like stainless. Use the finest sandpaper you can get, I use autobody wetsanding paper, 1000 grit. That will take out all the scratches. Then you can polish it to a mirror finnish with a buffing wheel and polish. If you don't have a wheel, you can still do it but your fingers will get a work out.
