How do you refinish your clips?

I have managed to scratch and wear down the coating on the clips of some of my Spydies, and I'd like to know how I could, and what with, recoat them. I was thinking of using some gun blue to refinish them, but I'm not sure if it would work.

Any opinions??

I think they are stainless, in which case ordinary gun blue won't work. I'd also be interested though in any sort of coating that could darken the clips, I like to carry my Spydie discreetly inside the waistband and the bright shiny clip just draws attention to it.

I only have one Spydie (my Native), with a stainless steel clip that isn't coated. My other Spydies have clips that are coated with black epoxy(?), and it's on these that the coating is slowly beginning to wear off, mainly around the edges. I guess that if worse comes to worse, I could just remove the coating.:(

You can buy new ones for about Five dollars each from SFO.This might be better than trying to repaint them.It would probably be expensive but you could send them in and have them coated with the coating like on the Glock pistol.Cabelas was offering this service.
