How do you rotate your EDC?

Hi all,
I was wondering how you can decide which knives to carry on a given day. Right now I carry all of my legal good-quality knives, but if I get many more I'll run out of pockets. Most of you seem to have a heck of a lot more knives than me, so how do you do it? Is it a certain group of knives each day, or whatever you feel like in the morning, or do you stay with a couple and just leave the rest home? Thanks!

I just grab and go. Whatever I feel like toting that day makes the cut (so to speak).

well, i always carry a balisong (because i love 'em), and the one i usually pick is my BM42as.
then, in addition, i'll carry a knife that i can use in front of sheeple. i have a nice, old orange bucklite that looks friendly enough. and i can thumb it open, which is good.
then i'll perhaps carry a spyderco or some other moderately large sized folder to handle most cutting chores.
peace.

The only system I have working at present is to have a good tactical folder in my right front pocket. Am rotating between 5 for that. Then, to have a utility folder, with defensive capability should it be needed in the left front pocket. This second one is to be my "sheeple" knife. Because I can't leave it behind, carry my Sebenza in sheath on right side also.

To work my Calypso Jr into the rotation, either have to change the clip, and rotatet it with Native, or try tactical in left pocket, and utility in right. Do have the Goddard ltwt for that, and trust it. Will have to figure out which are "left handed" days. Isn't so critical since always have the Sebbie lurking around.

Not sure that qualifies as a system??

If I'm going to be out doing hard work with my knife then I'll take the CRKT M16. It's relatively cheap and I won't mind abusing it. Everywhere else (except school) I take the BM Mini-AFCK. Both folders get carried clipped to the right front pocket. I really wish I could carry the BM 42, but my state has those stupid ambiguous knife laws. I'm in the process of building up the collection for the RF pocket. I'm planning on getting an LCC, CQC-7, and a Griptilian to rotate with the AFCK. But the M16 will always be my beater knife.

I've only got three that I carry now (except for one that I only use at work, sometimes).
My system is simple:
DDR CF EDC in the right pocket, and none to both of the following:
-DDR Apogee IWB or rear pocket
-small Sebenza IWB, rear pocket, or G2 sheath

Off-days, the EDC gets a breather, the Apogee gets the right pocket, and the Seb goes IWB or in it's sheath

My next folder is really going to complicate things

I used to rotate, but since I got my first Sebenza, I spin no longer.

Sebenza, right front pocket....BM940, left hip on the belt. I add other knives,(a fixed blade worn SOB) and sometimes replace the 940 with another knife (CRKT's, BM's or various SAKs). Depends on the day and my mood...

Well unfortunately because i still am under age i have to listen to my parents onto what i can carry. They say 1 folder at a time. I say no i want to carry all three BM 710, 800, 690
smile.gif
But they are the boss right now so if i'm wearing slacks or at work its the 690, in street clothes i usually rotate and determine it based on where i'm going. If anyone has any logical reasons on why i can carry more then 1 folder that i can tell my parents i could use your help

I ALWAYS carry two my my REKATs; My Sifu, and my Carnivour Cub. If I'm heading to a location where it might be a problem
carrying that MONSTER Sifu, I replace it with one of my REKAT Carnivours.

If its a special occasion or something I need luck for, I will carry my Sebi.

General duties either my Military or Starmate.

Low key, my Blue Delica or Camillus 154CM EDC.

Sometimes I carry a different knife/knives depending on feeling and intent.

I now carry my Matriarch in my coat pocket for defence.

I usually carry my Spyderco Police G-10, but I also have a Kershaw Chive, REKAT SIFU, and a CS Tanto Spike that I rotate. The others stay put. My girlfriend stole my Emerson LaGriffe and won't give it back to me. It would be with me all the time though. I tried to re-claim it but she threatened to hold you know what from me.

I keep wanting to alternate some of my BM's, Microtechs or Spyderco's, but nothing really "feels" right after my small Sebenza.

I'm toying with getting a Kit Carson small model 4 and/or a BM705 to alternate. (or maybe a Bob Dozier 3" folder) Can't really think of a REASON to have another EDC after the Sebenza though...

I carry my Calypso Jr. most of the time anymore, but if I'm going to be doing some ranch work or going coon hunting, I sometimes change to a trapper pattern. Fishing, I pack a Newt Livesay N.R.G.S. neck knife. I also carry a BM 940 now and then. There is no real pattern except for the fact that the Calypso Jr. wins more and more. It is light, ergonomic, and cuts like blazes.

Depending on how I feel that day I carry my large wood inlay Sebbi or large regular Sebbi.
Either way there is a large Sebenza in my right front pocket exclusive of anything else in there. Lately it has been the woody, LOVE that ironwood "benza! Since my sheath from Gary Graley got here for the other Sebenza I may carry it also. ALWAYS have a Spyderco Dyad Jr. in the left front pocket for general use. Anyone ask to borrow a knife sure ain't going to get their grubby paws on my 'benza!
At work at my part time job as a sales ass. at Wal Mart in the Sporting Goods dept. I will carry a MT LUDT in a horizontal sheath.
At work at my full time job as a 7th grade science/ss teacher I leave the LUDT at home.
