How do you sharpen a recurve?

Hey guys I have a question about sharpening a recurve blade. I have a hk 14210 that i need to sharpen. I've sharpened larger recurves before but this recurve is short so its harder for me to get to. Anyway I have a sharpmaker and various stones and diamond stone, plus I have the paper wheels. So far i've only been able to get in the recurve with the sharpmaker. How do you guys sharpen these?
